Indoor State Champion

Madison Memorial Sprinter Lechein Neblett won the 55 meter hurdles at the Wisconsin TFA Indoor State championships. Lechein was able to edge out Elliot Sperings of Appleton East (7.85s) and Detione White from Waukesha South (7.90s) to get the victory. This is yet another personal best for Lechein this season with a winning time of 7.83s. The indoor season turned in some very exceptional results for Neblett who also won the City Indoor Hurdles title and placed 2nd in the long jump. Neblett, a Junior captain, is awaiting the outdoor season which starts Tuesday in a dual meet vs the the talented LaFollette Lancers. Personal bests in the mile and 800m were also set at the TFA meet in Whitewater this Saturday. Nathan Kakazu came across in 4:56 and Prashanth Prabakaran in 4:57 in the 1600m, and Bradon Lorrig 2:15 and Andy Greene in 2:08 in the 800m, while shot-putter Chase Traefeld tossed out a 45 foot 2 inch throw to get his season underway.
